Characterization Services

For high-speed Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) networks, it’s best to perform a Fiber Characterization test. All Fiber Optics will test to ensure your fiber link is fit for actual customer traffic, using Polarization Mode Dispersion (PMD) and Chromatic Dispersion (CD) optical testing, which are crucial for high speeds.

Through Fiber Characterization we help customers optimize the performance of their fiber networks by identifying the issues and limitations of each fiber.

OUR SERVICE HELPS REDUCE TIME TO MARKET FOR OPTICAL-BASED SERVICES

We identify problems proactively, providing enough time to take corrective actions. Fiber Characterization testing provides an accurate report of individual fiber characteristics along with future scalability and performance.

If testing is to be performed on live fibers, it will be necessary to move traffic off, so additional services and charges will be required.
